You are a Registered Migration Agent and have just held an interview with John Jones. Your notes from the interview are as follows: • John is a 34 year old New Zealand citizen. He first arrived in Australia 3 months ago after spending 10 months in the United Kingdom (UK) on a work visa. He is a registered nurse in Australia and has just secured full time employment at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane. While in the UK, he met Stephen, a 40 year old UK citizen. They formed a relationship and lived together as a couple for 7 months before John's visa expired and he had to leave the UK. Before leaving, John and Stephen agreed that the physical separation would only be temporary and once John found employment in Australia, Stephen would move to Australia as well. • They are missing each other and committed to the relationship (they speak on the telephone every day) • John wants advice on how Stephen can move to Australia to live with him. • It is important that Stephen is able to work in Australia as he currently fully supports his 16 year old cousin, Samuel.
