Despite of extensive studies on roles of management accounting, there is still much debate about the current stances of management accounting profession and the roles management accountants performs in their organisations. Some argued that the role of management accountants is changing from bean counters to business advocates, supporting and advising senior managers in strategic decision making with management accountants understandably claiming this is the role they see for themselves as well.
