For Assignment 4 Task 1 install the Weka Extension in RapidMiner as the default logistic operator in RapidMiner is problematic for the Assignment 4 data set. It is not a true logistic regression implementation, it doesn't handle categorical variables only numeric and its performance on large data sets is problematic. Hence it is better if you install Weka extension which provides a traditional logistic regression implementation that will work well with the Bank data set. RapidMiner Extensions allow you to add extensions which extend the operator capability provided by a default installation of RapidMiner. The Weka extension is installed via RapidMiner Marketplace which accessed by the Help Menu on RapidMiner. Once the RapidMiner MarketPlace is open - type in Weka in the search field and it will bring up the Weka Extension then simply select the defaults and install the Weka Extension - note that you will need to restart RapidMiner to be able to access the Weka Extension operators You then will be able to access the Weka Logistic regression operator which will be a lot easier to use than the default logistic regression operator in Assignment 4 Task 1 for building a Logistic Regression model. 1.
