Provide advice as to the definition of 'vicious lawless associate' pursuant to section 5 of the Vicious Lawless Association Disestablishment Act 2013 (Qld); explain the application of relevant principles of statutory interpretation, including the application of relevant case law (if any); and discuss the operation of any potential defence Alan might have under the VLAD Act (18 marks); and2. Provide a brief critical analysis of the VLAD laws and how they might be problematic when judged against the key principles of the rule of law (8 marks).3.
